Levon Grigorian, a recognised expert in international dispute settlement and an attorney at law, joined FBK Legal as an advisor. He will be responsible for sanctions (including sanctions compliance), corporate investigations, legal risk assessment, commercial and investment disputes.

Over the last 25 years, Levon Grigorian has advised big Russian and foreign public and private corporations and governments. He has over 15 years of experience in working for such well-known US law firms as Mayer Brown LLP, King & Spalding LLP and Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. He has a status of attorney at law in Russia and is licenced to practice law in Texas, the Unites States.

He participated in many big international arbitration and judicial proceedings. He worked within the framework of many international corporate, oil and gas, mining, privatisation and other business and not-for-profit projects in Russia, other CIS countries and other foreign countries. He contributed to a number of laws and regulations in Russia and other jurisdictions.

“FBK Legal is one of the biggest and strongest teams in the Russian legal market with large customer base and diversified practice. It is a sufficiently big firm to support large-scale projects and provide assistance to big clients but it is sufficiently flexible to meet the needs and preferences of various clients. I am very happy to work in this team of excellent professionals,” Levon Grigorian said.

According to FBK Legal’s Partner Nadezhda Orlova, addition of the recognised expert in English and American law to the team will allow for a wider range of services. Many Russian companies operate abroad and are in need of advice from qualified experts with experience in foreign jurisdictions. And it is not always necessary to look for lawyers in those jurisdictions as there are specialists with required qualification, practical experience and licences in Russia and in FBK, Nadezhda Orlova said.
